Portraits | Aela and Mark (Perth, Australia)

Following Aela and Mark's wedding, we captured some beautiful moments during a photo shoot through Perth's CBD. We then headed to Sandalford Winery, a perfect spot to watch the sunset. Although we arrived a little late, I managed to capture some of the golden light. I was delighted that we were also able to photograph the vibrant autumn leaves surrounding us.

Expecting - Jane

I had the wonderful opportunity to capture memories with Jane with her lovely bump of seven to eight months. It was a gloomy morning, which was also the same day that super typhoon Odette struck our area. Thankfully, we got to do the shoot hours before landfall.

I love how this turned into great intimate scenes with soon to be parents Jane and Max. Really simple and relatable moments showing the glow of the expectant mom and her belly. She also wanted to include more of her husband in the scenes and the things they love to do together like having coffee and talking with each other.   It was sweet to include some of the things that she loved and had sentimental value to her, like the teddy bear he got her on their first date and her favorite book, The Fantastic Mr. Fox. These made the photos more personal to them which makes it all the more special. I always feel glad and honored to be trusted to capture something memorable in people's lives. Can't wait to meet their little boy!

Engaged - Rica and Justin

I had no expectations prior to taking Rica and Justin's photos. I know them only through a friend and was generous enough to sponsor this engagement session for their then upcoming weddding. They started shy and slow but I found out they were both fun and goofy with each other that it didn't take much directing to bring out some real laughter and moments. It made my job a lot easy just snapping away when they broke in to laughter or some sweet moments in between.

Thanks, Justin and Rica for these genuine moments.
